Privacy policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This page explains what personal data is processed when you visit a2h.dev, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

Email: abdullah@a2h.dev

Hosting and delivery

This site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes the data your browser sends with every request: your IP address, the page requested, date and time, browser type and referring page. This is needed to deliver the site and to protect it from attacks.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in a secure, working website. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing adequate protection (Art. 45 GDPR).

Fonts

The fonts on this site are stored on this site’s own server. Your browser does not connect to Google Fonts or any other font service.

Google Analytics, only with your consent

If you click “Allow” in the banner, this site uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. I use it to see which pages people read and how they find the site. If you click “Decline” or do nothing, Google Analytics is not loaded and no data is sent to Google.

With your consent, Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_MM32KV62PN, kept for up to 2 years) and collects pseudonymous usage data: pages viewed, time on page, the referring site, rough location (country or city), device and browser type. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.

Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing stops Google Analytics and deletes its cookies from your browser.

How your choice is stored

Your choice in the banner is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name a2h-consent, so the banner doesn’t ask again on every page. It is not a cookie and is never sent to any server. Legal basis: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, as it is strictly needed to remember your decision.

Email

If you email me, I process your address and message to reply. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR when it is about working together, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. I delete the emails when they are no longer needed, unless the law requires me to keep them.

Links to other sites

This site links to other sites, such as GitHub, LinkedIn, Medium and TV Mainfranken. Nothing from them is loaded until you click a link. After that, their own privacy policies apply.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • get a copy of the data I hold about you (Art. 15)
  • have wrong data corrected (Art. 16)
  • have your data deleted (Art. 17)
  • have its processing restricted (Art. 18)
  • receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
  • withdraw your consent at any time, for the future (Art. 7(3))

Email abdullah@a2h.dev to use any of them.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. The one responsible for me is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.

Can I count your visit?

I use Google Analytics to see which pages people read. It sets cookies and sends data to Google, so it only runs if you say yes. Privacy policy
