I take AI products from the first idea to the launch.

I’m Abdullah Abdelrazek, based in Germany. I build AI products with large language models, design the cloud they run on, keep it secure and lead the team that ships it.

Me, outside the CV

Abdullah explaining something on a large screen to a small group
Explaining thingsGive me a whiteboard and five minutes. I think I’m really good at explaining things.

On TVMe, watching me, on TV: a regional show about startups, in its episode on Leichte Sprache.Watch the episode (German)

When a project grabs me, I spend nights, holidays, whatever it takes to get it done.

I work anywhereYes, including the floor.

I love learning new things. Most of my projects start that way.

My droneThe Käppele in Würzburg, from where the pigeons sit. I love flying it.
Making TikToksI make TikTok videos too. This one is about Egyptian food. Of course it is.
A table of dishes seen from above: biryani, curries, rice and raita
Meal over cakeOn my birthday: skip the cake, bring the biryani. I love food, and I love cooking for people I like.
Abdullah smiling on the floor, one hand on a sleeping dog
Dogs and catsNot my dog. Sadly. I love dogs and cats, I just don’t have one.
Abdullah smiling on his green e-bike, wearing a helmet
My e-bikeI love it. Not because I’m a sporty person. Because it does the hard work for me.Read the story on LinkedIn

What I do for a product, My name starts with A and ends with H, which is where a2h comes from. Every product I build goes the same way: eight steps from the business need to a product your team can run.

  1. Aproblem
  2. B
  3. C
  4. D
  5. E
  6. F

Aim

Start from the business need

What result do you want, and how will we know we got it? We write it down together before anything gets built.

Where I’ve done it

Took KLAO from a first prototype to paying public-sector clients, with an EXIST grant and Media Lab Bayern behind it.

Blueprint

Learn the people, design the workflow

Your users, your process, your data and your rules. I listen first, then design a workflow your team can run.

Where I’ve done it

Technical counterpart for clients’ engineering teams while they integrated the KLAO API into their own systems.

Concept

Show something real, fast

A rough version on your real data within days. Nobody knows the quality an AI can reach until we test it.

Where I’ve done it

KLAO started as a rough prototype on real public-sector texts, in front of its first users before much else was built.

Define

Agree on scope and success

What we build, what is out of scope, the risks, and a test set we agree on. Then a green light.

Where I’ve done it

KLAO set its bar early: which texts, which Leichte Sprache rules each must follow, and a human review before certifying.

Engineer

Build the model and the product

Fine-tuning, retrieval and the backend around them, built in short loops with regular demos along the way.

Where I’ve done it

Master’s thesis on Leichte Sprache, rated well above the compared models, and multimodal retrieval for a bearing manufacturer.

Fly

Ship it safely

Cloud, security and data protection are built in from the first day, not patched on at the end before launch.

Where I’ve done it

KLAO scales on AWS and is GDPR compliant by design. I secured it with lessons from finding bugs at Uber, IBM and HackerOne.

Grow

Turn feedback into fixes

User feedback becomes test cases, and every drop in quality gets traced back to its cause and fixed.

Where I’ve done it

KLAO’s MVP went out to its first users early, and their feedback, not guesses, decided what got fixed first.

Handover

Hand it over to your team

Your team gets the code, the know-how and the docs, so it can run and grow the product without me.

Where I’ve done it

In use at the Stadtschulamt Frankfurt, the Landratsamt Starnberg, the University of Würzburg and municipal museums.

Recognition for First time seeing this word? Totally fine, it’s not in the dictionary (yet). KLAO is my startup. It turns hard German into easy German anyone can read.

What I’m open to

Happy to talk about either of these roles.

  • For a new AI product

    Technical co-founder

For an AI product that needs someone to take it from the first idea to the launch, the whole A to H.

    Tell me about your product
  • For a team that already exists

    Forward deployed engineer

Working inside a client’s team: learning their workflow, building on their data and handing over something they can run.

Working on something? Write to me.
